Welcome you to the 2012 ABC recreational baseball season.  Your child (son or daughter) must be 3 to 6-years old on April 30^th, 2012 to play in this league.

BASIC SMALL-BALL RULES

1. No scores will be kept, and the entire lineup should bat each inning.  There are no umpires so we should have a coach at each base that is willing to help both teams.

2. We will play for 1 hour or 4 innings.  We will not start an inning with less than 10 minutes in the hour.  Game time is scheduled time. It is up to each team's coaches to get the games started on time.

3. Each player will get 5 swings at the ball on a tee.  Running is optional after 5th swing.

4. Even if an out is made, base runner can remain on base and run.

5. Goals here are to simply teach base runners where to run and teach players to hit the ball.

BASIC TEE-BALL RULES

1. No scores will be kept, and the entire lineup should bat each inning.  There are no umpires so we should have a coach at each base that is willing to help both teams.

2. We will play for 1 hour or 4 innings.  We will not start an inning with less than 10 minutes in the hour.  Game time is scheduled time. It is up to each team's coaches to get the games started on time.

3. Each player will get 5 swings at a ball on a tee or see pitched balls as outlined in 4 & 5.  If ball is not hit in fair territory, batter is out and must return to the dugout.

4. In the 6-year old age group, each player will receive 3 pitches (not 3 swings) from a coach - not optional.  If ball is not hit, they have the option to throw 2 more pitches or take 2 swings off the tee.

5. In the 5-year old age group, 3 pitches is optional and does not have to be used.

6. If a play is made and the batter is out, batter must return to the dugout.

SCHEDULE will begin April 16th and will be out by Easter.
